Job description
Cedar Creek Quarries, Inc. is seeking to hire a hard working, safety and team oriented individual to work with our trucking fleet. As part of the fleet you will be responsible for transporting materials and equipment, conducting pre/post trip checks, safely tying down equipment, recording and submitting daily work summaries. This work will be performed for both private and public owners. Night shifts are common. Busy season is spring through summer but work can be year round weather permitting. Tasks to be performed included, but are not limited to, operating bobtail, transfers, end dumps, and/or pups, connecting & disconnecting trailers, negotiating tight & steep logging roads, tarping loads, dumping into paver or material transfer vehicle, spreading, overhead asphalt loading. Applicants should be physically fit, reliable and proficient in the use and application of common sense. Smoking is not permitted in or around any company vehicles.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Thorough operational knowledge and skills of end dumps and/or belly dumps (with and without pups) and related equipment to be operated.
Can operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Must keep legible records.
Must follow verbal and written instruction.
Knowledge of different types and sizes of aggregates.
Ability for maneuvering and backing with pup trailer.
Must be able to communicate effectively on the radio system.
Connect and disconnect pup trailer.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Any requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates, License, Registrations
Must possess a valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with appropriate endorsements.
Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
HAZMAT (not required but desired)
Work Requirements
Incident free driving record preferred
Subject drug and alcohol random testing.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Ability to communicate using two-way radio.
Basic skills with onboard navigation system

Salary: $24.50 - $27.50 per hour
